Strawberry Banana with a Twist

Smoothies an be a simple and nourishing addition to any fueling routine. The key is to remember the perfect combination. Protein, Fat and Fiber.

I find that following an order of ingredients can help make the smoothie have better texture, less messy, and overall easier for me to remember all the key ingredients I like to add.

🍓 1. First add the liquid of your choice [dairy milk, soy milk, fruit juice or maybe water] Your liquid can add flavor or maybe protein too!

🍓2. Fruits or veggies [I prefer frozen and live adding different veggies like beets or squash for something different]

🍓3. Protein source [yogurt, cottage cheese, tofu, or protein powder]

🍓4. All the greens [spinach and kale are great choices, my favorite is spinach with the added iron benefit, plus you can’t really taste it]

🍓5. All the add ins [nut butters, chia seeds, flaxseeds, added powder supplements, honey, or oats]

  • 1 cup strawberries

  • 1/2 cup pineapple

  • 6-8oz tart cherri juice

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds


Blend all ingredients. Enjoy!!
